Poetry

Once I wanted to be a pioneer

with fists of iron

and glowing words

I longed for

the burning south

of wild hearts

I made it out of any maze

with pride and

parades of new hope

Until my arrogance

was shattered

by unwept tears

Sorrow bends me now

and nobody is coming

to save me from my own despair

No heaven

only the quiet

firmament

Go back
